Liliam Ferraresi Brighente

Abstract

This review’s objective is to present the basic ideas developed by Adam Przeworsky in his book”The State and the Economy under Capitalism.” The central premise from where the author start’s is this inquiry: the capitalism is characterized by a permanent tension between market and State. Thus, throughout the text, he seeks to investigate whether this tension can be solved and how, and which are the consequences that result from this struggle for democracy. Finally, the review concludes with a brief critical analysis of the book’s contents.
